Woman – Sophia

Very good account of the Goddess in all its ramifications. There are also many representations in the West: The Greek Athena, goddess of wisdom; Minerva, her Roman equivalent, goddess of all the arts; Diana, the huntress. Also Sophia, the divine virgin symbolizing wisdom (philo-sophia). The same: Woman as anima (the soul of man) and as spiritual guide. According to a myth she was found in ‘primordial man’. She abandoned him, and man cannot be saved until he finds her again. Woman must be seen everywhere as what she is in her essence and qualities.
