‘Light’

But that is exactly what I meant by ‘Light’ … : ‘our primordial nature’; what else could it be? I know why people in non-duality avoid the word ‘experience’ at all costs, but contemplating a beautiful object (sunset, etc.) for example, the ‘object’ disappears as an object; only selfPuesta de sol (or Beauty, or Love) remains – without words or labels being added. (Inevitably, words and labels are being used at this moment).

Sri Atmananda puts it this way:

A sage knows well that consciousness is self-luminous and that it is consciousness that illumines the entire world. He knows also that his real nature is consciousness and experience and cannot as such be known or experienced. Hence he does not desire or make any attempt to know it or experience it.
