Here’s a quote I ran across by John Greven that clearly articulates my view on liberation or nondual awakening. I have slightly edited his text to make what he says readable without reading it in the context of the article in which it appears.“How does the [seeker] see he is already [liberated]? [Advaitically], work it out through investigation. [Neo-Advaitically] see what is. Practically, do both. In reality – the One enjoys temporal being – regardless of what appears to be happening.”Thus, on this basis I can say both approaches to liberation have their strengths (though traditional Advaita uses the direct method also). Neo-Advaita successfully jetisons much of the traditional approaches baggage.
