Maya – mind – ‘ego’


With right understanding, we see that mind is not other than Maya, Maya not other than mind, and that both can be equated with the ego of “individuality”. The quotation below is quite à-propos.

If one correctly understands the vedas (shruti), it (maya) does not exist (asat); by reasoning (yukti) using intellect, we conclude that it is indeterminate, but for the worldy-minded it is real indeed.
