Dakshinamurti Upanishad

In the glorious gold lamp of wisdom,
Overflowing with oil of indifference
To mundane objects, furnished with wick
…Of Faith, one must kindle the light of Jnana
And see! Darkness of delusion is dispelled,
Lord Shiva himself becomes manifest,

To dispel the utter darkness of samsara.
The devotee must produce holy fire,
Making by dispassion, the lower stick,
And by Jnana Knowledge the upper one.
Then Lord Shiva will display to his sight
The hidden Reality, dwelling in the heart

Of the Devotee, as his very own Self,
With its inherent Sat Chit Ananda.
He will revive subtle discrimination,
Overpowered by maya’s delusion,
Oppressed by illusion of Duality,
By want of proper Atma Vichara.
