The Tao and water – El Tao y el agua

The highest form of goodness is like water.
Water knows how to benefit all things without
striving with them.
It stays in places loathed by all men.
Therefore, it comes near the Tao.

Tao Te Ching, 8

La mejor clase de bondad es parecida al agua.
El agua sabe cómo beneficiar a todas las cosas
sin contender con ellas.
Se encuentra en lugares aborrecidos por todos los hombres.
Por tanto, es lo más cercano al Tao.
