The straight path – El camino recto


 
The Indian conceived an eager desire to learn wisdom from the Master of Life; but, being ignorant where to find him, he had recourse to fasting, dreaming, and…incantations. By these means it was revealed to him, that, by moving forward in a straight, undeviating course, he would reach the abode of the Great Spirit.

El indio tenía un gran deseo de adquirir sabiduría con la ayuda del Maestro de la Vida; pero, ignorante de donde poder encontrarlo, recurría al ayuno, a las visiones y a la invocación. Por estos medios, le era revelado que siguiendo un camino recto, sin desviarse, alcanzaría el aposento del Gran Espíritu.
