Word and music – La música y la palabra


 
Musicality inheres in words and speech, but the poetic expression must be musical in an essential, defining way, due precisely to its structure, its rhythm. Poetry is song. Prose is recitation or discourse.

La musicalidad es inherente en las palabras, en el habla, pero la expresión poética debe ser musical en sentido definitorio, debido precisamente a su estructura, su ritmo. La poesía es canto. La prosa es recitación o discurso.
